Meet Mlambe: Kat Cosgrove

This week, get to know a little bit more about our volunteer Kat Cosgrove...

What is your name and involvement with the Mlambe Project?

My name is Kat and along with Dave and Lynda, I'm part of the Innovation team! We have been researching potential innovations to introduce in the village via the project.

How long have you been working with the Mlambe Project?

I joined The Mlambe Project a couple of months ago so still quite fresh, but I am loving the work we've discussed thus far.

What is your greatest achievement so far? (Mlambe Project related)

As a team we are fairly new to the project, i'd say our greatest achievement is being proactive in generating and sharing ideas with great potential so watch this space i guess!

Favourite thing about being a part of the project so far?

I love the strong positive team spirit of everyone involved and the obvious great connection between the local community and the team members on-the-ground. I feel like this community spirit has really helped the great achievements of the project so far.

If someone is going to visit Malawi, what's the one thing you'd tell them?

I sadly have not had the chance to visit yet, but from what I hear Malawians are some of most beautiful and welcoming people on earth so prepared to be overwhelmed by friendliness!

Tell us something that would surprise people to know about you.

I can't really think of anything that people would be that surprised by (not sure if that's good or bad.)

What would you say to someone who is considering donating to the charity?

Its an absolutely fantastic team doing incredible work that goes such a long way. There seems to be something new and exciting developing all the time at the project so your money would be going to a fabulous cause that gives many children, young people and adults great opportunities!
