Oh haven't we grown!

From humble beginnings, it is safe to say that The Mlambe school has grown substantially. We are so pleased with how our earthbag buildings are looking and with the overall progress of our site.

Drone shot!

So, let's rewind and tell you how the site was to begin with. Chikolongo village, where The Mlambe School is, is an extremely rural area. When Jamie first came to the village there was only one government school block, which was horrible and in complete disrepair. Most of the lessons were taught outside under trees;

not the most effective method for learning.

Since then, we have repaired the old school block, built two new school blocks (both with two classrooms), built four earthbag teachers houses, an earthbag computer room, and an earthbag store room.

We have made some huge progress and our earthbag experts have been absolutely crucial to this.We still have a long way to go though. The Mlambe school is a primary school and currently goes up to standard six, however, a full primary school should go up to standard eight. So this means we are on a mission to build the final school block and get it open up the last two years.

We really appreciate all the help we can get to keep growing and keep providing education in Malawi.

So this year we want to build the final school block, 4 more earthbag teachers houses and a teachers office.
