The Five Peaks Challenge

The March for Mlambe In the early hours of Friday 1st May, 10 hearty souls will begin the March for Mlambe, a 48 hour expedition with the aim of summiting the highest mountain in Ireland, N. Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales.

Itinerary:
FRIDAY 1st MAY
0730 - 1130 | Ascend & descend Carrauntoohil | 3414 ft
1130 - 1730 | Drive from Carrauntocohil to Sileve Donard | 290 miles
1730 - 2145 | Ascend & descend Sileve Donard | 2789 ft
SATURDAY 2nd MAY
2145 -0600 | Drive from Slieve Donard to Ben Nevis (includes 23:30 ferry from Belfast - Cairnyan) - 225 miles
0600- 1100 | Ascend & descend Ben Nevis | 4406 ft
1100 - 1630 | Drive from Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike | 263 miles
1630 - 2130 | Ascend & descend | Scafell Pike | 3204 ft
SUNDAY 3rd MAY
2130 -0200 | Drive from Scafell Pike to Snowden | 210 miles
0200 - 0730 | Ascend & descend Snowden | 3559 ft

The 17,374 ft we will be climbing over the 48 hours is just shy of summiting Kilimanjaro whilst the 988 miles we’ll be driving would just about get us to Warsaw.
Despite being up against the clock, we will of course take time to sample the nations favourite delicacy and tipple at the top of each peak.
